Session State Between Projects

I have VB ASP.NET 2 projects.  I have defined a session var in one, but I can not return the value in the other project.

How do I pass the session var to a new project?

could use a bit more on your deployment scenario. Are both sites hosted on the same machine? do they hit the same database? Are you just trying to store one variable - can you put it into a cookie? Do the users log in - are the login credentials checked againsts the same DB?

more details is needed - but it is possible

I believe the default session state is bounded by the ASP application.  However, if you use session state in a database, then it is possible to share it across machines.

Another way would be to use the System.Security.Cryptography namespace to encrypt the data, and pass it in a cookie, query string, or POST data...  if it is serializable.
