A client wants to update a load of legacy VB6 apps to VB.Net. The brief is that update changes must be kept to a minimum. Some of these apps use MSFlexgrid.
I have had problems with popup menus. I upgraded them to ContextMenus and have got them displaying....but the click event won't fire. Assigning the context menu to another control works fine. It's just Flexgrid it doesn't work with.
Anyone had similar problems when upgrading? Any general upgrade advice (relating to Flexgrid)?
Changing to use the Datagrid control is a possibility, but they'd rather avoid this, if possible. If I do recommend that route, does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this with minimal disruption to existing code.
Buying a replacement control from ComponentSource or ComponentOne or somewhere is also a possibility, but the key is to minimise the upgrade/maintenance impact.
Any help gratefully appreciated.
