Rich UI?

Does anyone know how to create visual studio style menus (icons and check boxes on the left)?

I've been looking around for a couple of hours and can't seem to find anything provided by Ms.  It would seem a shame for them to create something so nice and then not make it available to developers around the world.

While I'm asking....  what about the task panes that can open in office (example - the new document pane in word), and finally what about the floating tool bar for the toolbox in visual studio?

I know of the magic Library, but that is third party and still has occasional bugs.

MS doesn't provide this functionality (yet).  They usually leave this market open to 3rd party vendors.

I use the DevExpress components and have found them to be very good.  Here is their XtraBars suite which has what you are looking for:

I'm using DotNetBar from www.devcomponents.com. Very satisfied with it.

Why don't you use the free ComponentOne controls from the free Visual Basic.NET Resource Kit?
