References for learning .net/

Hi,

Am very new to new MS technologies, since I have a long association with *nix based systems. Right now as a enthusiast and freelance developer, I have written very crude standalone Win32 apps, and hte learning has come mostly out of Petzold's book and MSDN. I want to make myself familiar with .net technlogies, using VStudio.net, C#, ADO.net..and am looking for resources to use while learning.

Specifically, I am on the lookout for online and dead-trees references, both middle level complex as well as advanced, so I can keep on learning from them.

Would appreciate a posting of books, or a link to such quality resources.

Regards.

There's a tremendous amount of learning to be done here:

Has been an absolute god send for me. Any problem I have, is answered there somewhere.

When I first started out with .NET, I found http://www.dotnet247.com to be a great resource... it links to various website articles on just about any part of the framework you're likely to touch starting out... it helped me navigate the mostly-evil-but-ok-once-you've-got-custom-paging-rolled-into-your-own datagrid class.  I've heard good things about http://www.codehound.com too, but haven't used it personally.
