Do you hire technical writers, or do you do write all the docs yourself? How do you use CityDesk to make HTMLHelp, because I am finding it rather troublesome.

We have hired technical writers in the past, and I wrote a lot of the documentation myself.
Both the CityDesk help file and the FogBUGZ documentation are maintained in CityDesk. For the purpose of creating Windows .CHM files, CityDesk outputs a big directory containing the entire help project including all the files you need to provide as input to the help compiler, and then runs the help compiler to produce the .CHM file with one click.
