How does BugzScout work exactly?

Hi There. I got the impression from the "Fifty new features" section that BugzScout will interact with the user by sending back custom messages.

So, if for example, our product started crashing because of some sort of broken dependancy and the fix for that crash was to just update IE, BugzScout would tell the user that?

Thanks
Chris

Sort of.

For the (one) case that gets created for a particular type of crash, you set the case to return a message rather than the default you set in your application.

That message you've set as an override could say "This particular error is due to the version of IE you are using, please update to the latest version.", or something like that.

It works really well, as long as the title that gets generated via ScoutSubmit is unique enough so that you know for sure where the error is, but without being too unique (i.e. don't put any date, time or user variable data in the title you generate).
