Searching Title of case

Is there a way to search for multiple words using AND rather than OR in the titles of cases? For example, if I enter "install and intro" in the Search for box (without the quotes), I'd like to find a list of titles that include both words, not either word.

What's your backend database?

Backend database in our case is MySQL.

Thanks,

If you are using MySQL > 4.0.1 then you should be able to do the AND query.

We do this for > 4.0.1 mysql dbs.

Thanks for the info on the newer version of MySQL.

On a related note, the "MySQL: Setting up Full-Text Search Index" article found at http://www.fogcreek.com/FogBUGZ/KB/dbsetup/SetUpFTSinMySql.html talks about indexing the "s" field in the BugEvent table for Full Text searches. Do you similarly recommend adding an index to the sTitle field in the Bug table for better Title searches?

The response above says that FogBUGZ can use the AND query if MySQL > 4.0.1.

Is this the case for Title searches though? It looks like FogBUGZ may only do this for full text searches...

Yup, you're correct.  This only works on the fulltext field 's', not on the title.  We'll definitely consider adding this to a future release.
