Automatic HTTP Linking

When posting/editing a case I often enter URL's.  Could you please make the automatic HTTP linking not include the trailing period?

Example:

This is where the page with the problem: http://www.foo.com/page.html.

In that example, the period would be included into the URL an anyone clicking on it would get a page not found.

As I read the text under this edit window ("Surround URLs with spaces") what I'm really asking for is to allow basic punctuation which should not violate HTTP conventions.

Thank you,

Andrew

Although unlikely, the period at the end of a url is still a valid url, albeit I understand your concern.  We'll look into seeing if we can make this happen for the next release.

i'd leave the FB code alone. "Surround URLs with spaces" seems logical to me.

How about a warning when submitting a url that has trailing punctuation? That way if you really wanted a url ending in a punctation symbol you could have it.
