Bug ID prefix

The few times I've had to submit something to the Fog Creek customer support email address, I've got a reply that obviously comes from FogBUGZ. The case number has a prefix (eg: "FC10928").

I've recently reinstalled my FogBUGZ server and in doing so I split my bug database in two (along project lines).

How easily can I add a prefix so that I can tell which project a particular bug comes from? As it stands I can now have two different bugs with the same number. The URL disambiguates them, but it would be nice to see that in the bug ID.

That's a source mod, and I'm afraid it's a bit out of the scope of tech support. I'm not sure exactly where it would take place, but I'm sure it would be pretty easy to add a prefix once you track it down.

Actually Dmitri and I just realized this is in the registry, although there is no UI for it (on purpose).

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Fog Creek Software\FogBugz\[path to fogbugz]\sCasePrefix

In our case, sCasePrefix is set to "FC".

So our case emails get sent out as Case FC193921.

Its in the application.data file in Accessories.

It will look just like the other keys in there... except it is called sCasePrefix
