attempting to view bugs times out for certain bugs

Fogbugz has been working great for a while now. But sometime in the last week it started timing out when trying to view certain bugs. I can view certain bugs, bug not others. I don't see a pattern. This isn't a browser issue. I actually do get to a page where it asks me to fill in my email address to submit the problem report to fogcreek. I've submitted it a couple times, but there's no point in me doing it repeatedly I assume.

Anyway, I don't see anything in the logs and restarting w3svc didn't do anything.

More info would be needed to pinpoint the cause, a remote session may even be what's needed. The error you're getting is this:

ASP Description: The maximum amount of time for a script to execute was exceeded. You can change this limit by specifying a new value for the property Server.ScriptTimeout or by changing the value in the IIS administration tools.

You could do that, although really the script just shouldn't take as long as it is taking and the cause needs to be ferreted out.

You can look in the Troubleshooting are of the KB:

If you have an active support contract you can write to support and the support staff will help you track it down.

It was the virus checker (Mcaffee) as was described in:
http://www.fogcreek.com/FogBUGZ/KB/trouble/Browserhangs.html

Turning off the virus checker fixed it. I'll try to figure out how to turn off script blocking or whatever it's doing.
