case hangs IE

One of my users emailed a case into the system recently. When I try to view that case in FogBUGZ, IE 6 hangs with nearly 100% CPU usage and I have to kill the process. I looked at the data in the Bug and BugEvent tables, but I don't see anything particularly unusual. Due to HIPAA restrictions, I can't include the data here. Any idea what might be the cause of this and how I can fix it?

What is your Upload File Size Maximum on the Site config page? Do you know if this case has any file attachments? How long have you waited before killing the process?

Are you using Norton Antivirus or McAfee Virus Scan? (http://www.fogcreek.com/FogBUGZ/KB/trouble/Browserhangsandnopageisdi.html)

Upload File Size Maximum is set to 100000k. The case does seem to have an attachment, but it wouldn't be over 350k. I don't have Norton or McAfee, although I do have Trend OfficeScan. I've waited up to about 5 min before killing IE.

Correction: I do not have any virus scanning software installed on that server.

It may be helpful to turn on the log files and see if that points to any problems:
http://www.fogcreek.com/FogBUGZ/KB/howto/EnabletheFogBUGZLogFile.html

It may be worth running the register.bat file in your fogbugz/accessories folder to make sure all dlls are registered correctly, and check that your fogbugz windows user account in IIS has permissions on the fogbugz folders and also on the fogbugz registry keys.

I still feel like the attachment is the problem (since it sounds like viewing this particular case is the ONLY problem you're having), either the size of it or if an antivirus were running and it were a vbs or exe file getting trapped....
