IE 6 Blocks Cookie

I have the IE security settings set to Medium (the default) and whenever I view FogBugz on our server it always blocks a cookie for http://server1.---.com.au/FogBugz/spacer.gif .

Is this bad if it continues to be blocked or should I decrease my security configuration to allow more cookies?

One thing to try is adding https://shop.fogcreek.com to your trusted sites...  FB checks when new versions of FB are released and they come from shop.fogcreek.com.

The other thing is to add your server1....com.au site to the trusted sites and see if that helps.

See http://www.w3.org/P3P/

Basically, IE 6 blocks all cookies that don't have a P3P compact privacy policy. You can overcome this problem adding a header to all your pages. In IIS, all you have to do is to add a "P3P" entry to "Custom HTTP Headers" under the "HTTP Headers" tab, with a value like this:

policyref="http://www.mydomain.com/path/to/p3p.xml", CP="NON DSP COR CURa TIA"

See http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnpriv/html/ie6privacyfeature.asp
