Because of the way we deploy our product, we have trouble with the way Fixed For seems to work. Our major releases are pre-determined, but our patches are based on a build number. That means we don't know what version the bug was fixed for until we have the release completed.
What I'm looking for is a way to select several bugs and assign them all to a release. That way I can enter the new release number into FogBugz and assign all of the bugs to it in one swoop. Having to manually edit each record is a chore I would rather avoid.

This is the same way we build our software here. What I did: Every time I generate a build, I insert a new record into a table of 'builds' specifying date/time and build number (actually there are some extra fields I am hidding). After that I developed a fogbugz-look-like asp that I choose between two builds (from that table) and do a search in FogBugz comparing that dates with dtResolved in FogBugz's Bug table.
Hope this helps you.
