Documentation configuring ODBC

1) Is there documentation available to make use of a Oracle database instead of the Microsoft Access database using ODBC?

I keep getting the error: 'database is down or could not be found'.

2) Don't I need a create script for the fogbugz database using oracle?

Thanks in advance.

We don't currently support Oracle so I'm afraid you're on your own there. We ship a database creation script (all.sql) in Microsoft SQL Server format. There are places in the FogBUGZ code that use Access and/or SQL-Server specific SQL syntax, and in some cases assumptions are made that would not apply if you used Oracle.

Dear Joel,

Please correct me if I am wrong:
If there are places in the FogBUGZ code that use Access and/or SQL-Server specific SQL syntax, any ODBC connection (other than SQL-server and Access) won't work. What than, is the idea of an ODBC link?

And second:
In the documentation I read that use of Access is not recommended if the amount of licences exceeds 5 licences. We have 10 licences. So, shouldn't we look to use a different database?

Thanks for the input.
