Why are there two places for the forum?

Hello,

I noticed there are two places where the questions are placed.

http://discuss.fogcreek.com/CityDesk/
and
http://discuss.fogcreek.com/citydesk/

Can someone tell my why this is?

With regards,

Peter Mathijssen

It's the same place..?

These forums are hosted on Windows servers - which aren't fussy about uppercase and lowercase URLs. Sites (or forums) hosted on Linux/UNIX are case sensitive and would look for

CityDesk and
citydesk

as two separate folder locations.

Thank you for the info.

Having different spellings (i.e., "CityDesk" vs. "citydesk") messes with the link colors.  You can't tell which threads you've read and which ones you haven't, if you happen to come back via a different URL.  The capitalization (or lack thereof) should be consistent everywhere.

I have pointed this out to Fog Creek before.
