Bug? article named com1 causes publishing to fail

Can someone verify that naming or renaming an article as "com1" causes publishing to fail?

Start with a new site.
Create a new article.
Set up a local publish folder.
Publish. All is good
Rename article to com1.
Publish. I get a dialog saying "Publishing failed. Please ensure that the specified folder, (path to the local directory), is accessible from this computer.

Rename it and see if the problem goes away.  In MSDOS days com1 was the name of the first serial port.  Maybe its a remnant of that.  Other names that might fail could be LPT1, com2, PRN

Rename it and the problem remains. Even after deleting it the problem remains.

Did you try deleting the xml file at the server to clear the problem? This will cause your whole site to be republished, so if your site is large it may take some time.
