Pasting into CD from word processors

As discussed on this forum a number of times, pasting a MS Word document into CD works, but the HTML is pretty bad. Can you paste into CD from WordPerfect, Open Office or any other word processor? Is the result any better than the HTML that Word produces?

You can paste without formatting. But, I always wash my Word pastes through Notepad, then to CityDesk. I wish this was better. A contributor can really mess up a website's style with Word pastes. I don't know about other WP's.

The best solution I have found so far is to use the MS-Office HTML filter. I check any option that says "remove" , and that gets rid of references to MS style sheets and the like.

From there, you can import directly into CD. But I usually use Homesite to give the files a once-over before I do so.
