templates for printing?

As a fresh maintainer of the website of the Cyclist Ubion of Delft (The Netherlands) on www.fietsersbond.nl/delft I was wondering if it's possible to create a second Template for printing purposes.

Is it possible to define a button on the page to create a simpler page more suitable for printing, i.e. in black-and-white or with less pictures? I tried to "borrow" code from other websites, but could nit find a solution with CityDesk.

I hope anyone has found out and is willing to share his information.

Thanks.

I've got it on my site too.

Just create a 2nd template to publish to a different directory, then use {$.abslink$} to link to it.

<a href="http://www.marktaw.com/print/{$.abslink$}">Printable Version</a>

Notice that I'm publishing the print version to the /print directory.

If you are using CSS to style your pages, this is very easy to do.  You just create a slightly different css file for printing and when the user presses print, it automatically uses the print stylesheet.

I set my menu markup to display: none.

This leaves the header and body to display.
