Date Loop Question

I want to create a loop of recently updated articles so I am using :

{$foreach x in (and (all)(after publishDate -28))SortDescendBy .fileddate $}
    .......html stuff
{$next$}

This means that I have to manually change the filed date evertime I update an article. How is it possible (or isn't it?) to change the "publishDate" to the "lastModified" date which is automatically saved when an article is changed?

Thanks

With version 1.x you have to change the fileddate. In version 2 there is a new date field: "lastmodified" that does just what you want.

To be honest, I don't always want to use last modified. If I find a spelling error in an old article, I don't particularly want it listed and a recent change. If I add some significant content, then I'd change the fileddate. I prefer that CityDesk just read my mind, but that's another version I guess.

Isn't "(and (all)(after publishDate -28))" just a longer way to say "(after publishDate-28)"?
