CopyBoy 2.0 Alpha Release

OK, if running a beta version of CityDesk isn't dangerous enough for you, you can now download the ALPHA release of CopyBoy 2.0. Get it from http://www.larkware.com/Products/LarkwareCopyBoy20.html

CopyBoy 2.0 *REQUIRES* the Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1. This is about a 20MB download from Windows Update if you do not already have it installed.

As promised, I am making the Visual Basic 6.0 source code to the original CopyBoy available. Get it from http://www.larkware.com/Products/LarkwareCopyBoy.html . I do NOT plan to upgrade this version to work with CityDesk 2.0, but if anyone else wants to move the VB6 version forward, you have my blessing.

Let me stress that this is ALPHA software and even if it were perfect it is inherently dangerous. CopyBoy lets you make direct changes to your CityDesk file without any of the sanity checks that CityDesk itself contains. It is quite possible to delete data or leave a CityDesk file in an inconsistent and unpublishable state if you don't know what you're doing. Please turn on CityDesk's own backup feature before using CopyBoy.

I have a bunch more features in mind than this alpha has implemented, but it's a start. We're still early enough in the product cycle that your feature requests still have a chance of making it in to the final release.

Thanks, I use CopyBoy a lot to convert all imported HTML pages to articles.
