Inconsistent behavior among similar features

Import web page from disk and import folder from disk differ in the way links to images are handled.

Import web page from disk links to images using CityDesk names: . The images are viewable within the html file in CityDesk and you have all the nice features that CityDesk management of the images gives you.

Import folder from disk links to images using relative names as they will appear when published: . The images are not viewable within CityDesk.

The Import web page from disk behavior is the way to go.

This is by design... it's described in detail in the online documentation under "Importing Web Pages."

There needs to be quick and easy way to convert existing web sites to City desk articles. If you import a page at a time the images are linked correctly, then you can use CopyBoy to convert them into articles--Madness for a large site.

The approach I took with my 500 article site was to import a folder worth of files, use CopyBoy to convert them to articles (I needed the teaser and keywords fields), then the fun part was updating links to all the images.

Please make a way to import existing sites quickly and easily while converting to the CityDesk style links.
