<!--StartFragment-->Jean Baudrillard

I was pasting something from a text article I had loaded up in IE into an article window, when the above showed up.

StartFragment? I guess this is another artifact of my strange version of IE?

It happens when you paste something into an article. I don't know the exact circumstances. Maybe it's just 2.0.3.

I do a lot of "paste without formatting" when I paste something from an email or web page. Pasting from Notepad works fine. If I'm doing a large paste from Word, or mail, I always wash it through Notepad.

tk - I thought it was safe  because it was a .txt file, but it was in IE, so I guess it was different.

Oh, and for clarification, this showed up in normal view, not html view.

I've never seen it. It's not us. Maybe a bit of garbage when you cut and paste from Word?

it was a .txt file i'd loaded into IE (served up by a web server).

Maybe it's this bizarre IE I have.

Incidentally I can always reproduce this StartFragement bug by copying some text from Mozilla Firebird's pretty-printed view source window into Frontpage's HTML (non-wysiwyg) editor (while it's editing a UTF-8 file).

maybe my web browser defaults to UTF8.

You can get it when you copy text from Firebird into OpenOffice HTML editor normal view.
