Request for City Desk to support .cdf files

I’m using City Desk for my website and I want to expose an Internet Explorer Active Channel. I’ve made the following which produces an XML file to achieve an IE Active Channel. However the problem is, that although it’s an XML document, it has a .cdf extension. City Desk doesn’t seem to process files that have a .cdf file extension. Is there a work around or can City Desk make it possible to process .cdf files.

{$ foreach 1 x in (all) sortDescendBy .filedDate $}
<CHANNEL HREF="http://www.somewhere.com" LASTMOD="{$setDateTimeFormat "English" "yyyy-MM-ddT" "hh:mm"$}{$x.filedDate$}{$x.filedtime$}">

Website Title

Website description
{$ foreach 12 a in (all) sortDescendBy .filedDate $}
{$ if nonblank a.headline $}
    <ITEM HREF="http://www.somewhere.com/{$ a.link $}" LASTMOD="{$setDateTimeFormat "English" "yyyy-MM-ddT" "hh:mm"$}{$a.filedDate$}{$a.filedtime$}" PRECACHE="yes">

{$ a.headline $}

{$ a.teaser $}

{$ next $}
{$ endif $}

{$ next $}

Many thanks Pat! I hadn't noticed the File Types setup.
