Better rss feed

Version 0.91 of the rss spec is missing a key component if you ask me.  Viewers really should be able to key on some kind of publised date, per article.  It's better to use an rss version that supports namespaces or <pubDate>.

I'm a lot happier now that my feed supports <dc:date>.  (For some reason, <pubDate> wasn't as useful.)

Anyway, here's how I changed Joel's CityDesk script: Add the following line after the <?xml version> tag:

<rss version="2.0" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">

And add the following tag in the item loop:
<dc:date>{$ setDateTimeFormat "English (United States)" "yyyy-MM-dd" "HH':'mm':'ss" $}{$a.filedDate$}T{$a.filedtime$}-08:00</dc:date>

Thanks David, that looks helpful. Does it validate?

Don't trust me.  Check for yourself.

Two notes:

"David Blume" is me from the computer where I have CityDesk installed.  "www.daliblume.com" is me from work.

That "-08:00" part of the time is supposed to be the difference between PST and GMT.  That could be wrong, and you'd have to change it for your timezone anyway.
