Photo Journal

I recently rebuilt the Photo section of my site to include a photoblog type of capability. I have written up a description of the process:

http://www.satterlee.com/backend/PhotoJournal.html

One of the tricks I use is redirects, like so:

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="1; url=http://www.satterlee.com/albany/default.htm">

This was the first thing I grabbed from a Google. It works fine. My question is whether it is the best way to perform a redirect.

I tend to use javascript for redirects... along the lines of

location.href = 'http://blah/';

Only because some time ago in the past (around the time of Netscape 2 or 3), the meta tag didn't work for me very reliably. As to which is better... if it ain't broke don't fix it.
