double byte chars - multi lingual sites

Does anyone have a multi lingual site up and running, using CityDesk, preferably with one of the languages a double-byte character set, such as Japanese? I would love to see it or hear about any issues or good experiences you have had. I am currently looking for a CMS that will allow my Japan Country Manager to translate our site into Japanese and I like the available interface in CityDesk, but I am still unsure how exactly I might go about this.

Joel of Fog Creek has his Joel on Software site that has translations.  Not sure if this would help, but the address is

http://www.joelonsoftware.com/

There is a Japanese translation page, but I cannot see the characters since I do not have that kind installed.

hope this helps a little bit...

I have a very simple site (using CD) supporting two languages. It was quite easy with CD, but then again my site is very simple. You can view it at

If you have any specific questions, go ahead and ask.

In order to use CityDesk to manage and to assist in translating sites into Japanese, we had to install citydesk on a japanese windows machine and it worked fine. I understand that support for japanese char sets on english windows with the japanese language pack installed is coming in future versions of citydesk.
The main thing is in the template you use for the japanese version, you need to change the iso characterset info to say shift_js.

UPdate on this topic:
It seems that this is not the answer- fully. Our Japan Country manager advises us that only half the content on a given page that he enters actually publishes. Very frustrating.
Called Fogcreek and Joel states this might be fixed in CD 2
