Problem with adding content

This is all a bit new to me. I created a page called "angelpics" -
see link from http://www.bitweb.com/fva
It is a photo gallery and i want to add 2 photos per article.
I create article and want to add 1st picture to Teaser
and 2nd to Extra1.
When I click on Extra1 and add picture the picture gets placed in Teaser box. What is wrong?
Is this correctly coded?
How do I change the names of the box names in Extras?

Also my site is only about 300k big, and the cty file is more than 2mb. Why is this so big? see http://www.bitweb.com/fva/download

Cheers

I don't think the extras boxes were designed to take objects - only teaser and body fields can. What you noticed is probably CD's cute way of saying "surely you didn't meant to put that in there".

Don't put the image in there - put in its magic name - that way you can reference it and control the tags around it to create thumbnails and main image pages.

Read up on Magic Names.

I think you may have put things in and taken them out etc. CD uses a Jet engine - the mdb, which you will have to compact (just like any ol' Access database). The mdb does not magically contract after you take things out. You must compact.

You might need to look at:
http://www.webattack.com/freeware/webpublish/fwgallery.shtml

This can do auto-thumbnails for you.

<image galleries and CD>
If you are looking at image gallery production, perhaps CD is not for you. CD is designed for Content Management - which can include image content.

Check out http://www.webattack.com for that sort of thing.

Have fun ;)

I've put pictures into sidebar and extra1 with no problem.

I defer to Terry on that one.
