Paid content

Hi all,

Is there a way to mix free and paid content on the same page?  The paid content would be behind a locked area for members only while the free would be available to all.

This is what I have in mind:

"Protect Your Software From Thieves" -- free
"Your Site is Losing Money"  -- paid area
"Why Your Web Stats Matter" -- paid area
"Have I Been Hacked?" -- free

The idea is to mix the free and paid articles with teasers on each of them so that a prospect might want to pay for the paid articles because of the teaser.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks.
Mark

ESPN and the MIT Technology Review both use small icons on their teasers to denote restricted content.

An easy way to do this would be to create a variable with the $$$ (or whatever) symbol in it to be included in any teaser that is restricted:

free teaser text: This article is wonderful and free!!

Pay teaser text: This article is more wonderful {$ .pay $}

where .pay is a variable defined as <img ....> or as
<em>$$$</em>
