Forgot: anchors in normal view ?

Any way to define anchors in normal view without resorting to html view ?

Just select what you want to be an anchor and hit the link button in the toolbar...

The only way we could think of.... defining four variables

href :: <a href="{$.link$}#
close :: ">
final :: </a>
name :: <a name="

and then - in article view - using them as follows (example):

LINK:
{$.href$}anchor1{$.close$}System requirements{$.final$}

ANCHOR:
{$.name$}anchor1{$.close$}System Requirements{$.final$}

No, wait a second... I want to create a multitude of links within the article itself (anchor) not link to another page. Am I missing something...?

The "<a name" part doesn't have a button, so yes currently you have to do that part in source view.

If I'm doing lots of anchors/bookmarks on a page, I copy the ariticle into FrontPage, insert the bookmarks and links, then copy it back into the article.

These might help:

Thank you all. The variable scheme we propose above works fine in article view and is acceptable to the customer (much more acceptable than to switch to HTML view or to switch apps ;-)

Regards

Patrick

PS: It is actually quite funny that it works that way...
