Trouble importing php page

I have set up a site using citydesk and it work fine for html.
The problem is when I use it with pages with a large amount of php, it echoes the php back onto the page, even in design mode.

It then doesn't work and produces php errors when the page is uploaded.

How do I set up citydesk so that it ignores anything in between <? ?> tags(it ignores them on some pages!)?

The built-in editor in CityDesk is not going to do a very good job of editing files with PHP code embedded. I suggest using the File Types dialog to change the file type for php to use a text editor instead of the built in editor.

I have found out a possible solution to the php problem...

By using an Include file to contain most of the php code, CityDesk has a lot less php code to sort through, and is less likely change to change the php code.

I still have to throughly test this out though!
