BUG: link to unpublished article (404)

A link to a article which is not published will not give any warnings; it will cause a 404-error when clicked on though because the referenced article is not published.

Possible solutions:
* warning during preview/publish
* allow to specify a page for unresolved links

If it parses, it shouldn't include unpublished files.

If you've used the Magic Name, you've "hardcoded it" so to speak, and it's your own darn fault.

At the worst, you can run XENU link checker through your site and find all broken links.

Foreach doesn't include the article.

But in this case : yes it is hardcoded using insert link to citydesk article. This resolves into a magic name.

And no it is NOT my damned fault; if I delete a reference I get a warning! If it is just not the right time (not published) I don't get a warning!

That's a bug in my opinion; I can live with this being referred to as an unwanted feature ;-)

I agree, this is a bug. CityDesk probably just detects for the existance of the file being magic-name linked to, but not whether or not it's being published under the current set of rules.
