Proxy Servers

I cant use the ftp functions, from my company network to upload my files, and have to publish to disk then transfer, but this is not as useful as using the ftp.

The problem I believe is our proxy server (I can configure my ftp client software to use it).

do you have any plans to solve this?

(or is a problem on my side)

Thanks

If they're using WinInet (I think they are), then you should be able to configure the proxy settings for FTP in Internet Explorer, then restart CityDesk, and have them be picked up.

Worth a shot. :)

Yep, I think Brad is right.  We are using WinInet, so it should use the IE settings.

Remember (or try) :

1- to put the name or IP adress of your proxy server as the main ftp server in City Desk publishing editor
2- to put ftp_username@final_ftp_site_name (yahooid@ftp.geocities.com for example)  in the username dialog box

it should better work in passive mode
