Resizable "edit variable" window?

1) Would it make sense to make this window resizeable?

I have a var containing about 188 chars of  html and the string needs more room

2) Would it be worthwhile to eliminate the 255 char restriction on var length?

I'm curious to know what you are doing with 188 characters of html in your varialble.  What are you trying to accomplish with it?  Have you published a page we can look at?

The page is not ready for publication yet.

I created a "Nav Bar" that I can reference from multiple locations (multiple templates, the index.html).  I don't want to have to have the same piece of code in multiple locations, even if the code is as trivial as looping thru a "Nav" folder and picking off the articles in there to use as nav-bar items.

I suppose I'm trying to implement a poor-man's SSI.  I'm not sure this is all that smart, mind :)

Good point.  I'll look into it.

Uday,

I don't think there is a 255 char limit on variables.  They should be able to be 64k long.

Wow, that makes it a rich man's SSI:  Variables may need their own "templates."

Yeah, it's just a documentation error.
Variables can be 64K.

We made it so that you can resize the variables window if you have really long variables.
