Problem with nested loops

A while ago Mark W posted the following script and complained that the y loop wasn't executing:

{$foreach x in keyword_contains "index"$}

<a href="{$x.link$}">{$x.headline$}</a>
<ul>

{$foreach y in folder "{$x.extra1$}"$}
<li>
<a href="{$y.link$}">{$y.headline$}</a>
</li>
{$next$}

</ul>
test: {$x.extra1$}
{$next$}

There was no reply to his post, and now I'm having a similar problem. Any time I try to use a field from the first loop as a condition in the second, the second loop fails to execute.

Does CityDesk support this? Is it a bug?

Okay, I found the later threads that discuss this issue. It's not supported. That's too bad.
