paste into extra fields not quite right

The paste into extra fields only replaces the
text, not the hidden formatting.

Put this text on your clipboard:
<span style="font-size:50%;">TM</span>
then choose "Paste without formatting" from
the Edit menu.  Now select the text in the
edit box and choose "Paste without formatting"
again.

Now replace the text in the box and preview.

The text will be .25 the base size of the
text around it.  The source will show nested
spans that didn't get removed by replacing
the text.  I imagine I can get rid of it using access
but I cannot see how to do it from within C-D.

It is the difference between selecting all of what you see, and select-all.

If you hit select all from the menu and then paste, it will work correctly.

If you hilight the text after the first paste, the dhtmledit control just selects the text not the entire span tags (since you can't see a span, you can't select it), so thats why the second paste gets nested.

Use select all and problem should go away.
