On the subject of styles...

There's been a few posts on style sheet support (CSS) and support for things like H1, H2, etc.

I'd like to suggest for V2 that you implement a style editor system that works similarly to Word. Then auto-generate a CSS file based on those styles and apply it to the articles. This seems like the right level of support for this kind of product.

What do you all think?

That would work for me.

It would also be cool if we could link styles to placeholders
(.body, .teaser, .headline, and so on...) at the level of templates in such a style editor.

And we must keep a manual control on the syntax of the auto-generated css.

That's certainly how I'd like to see it myself.

Shortcuts and drag-n-drop for them would be nice too!

As long as the generated styles worked in IE and Netscape, and you could manually edit them....

The way I see it, the styles would be available in a dropdown, and you can edit the dropdown. The css is created from the dropdown, or code in the css generates the drop down.

I'm sure there's a more elegant solution, I'm just not in a thinking mood right now.

This is a really nice idea.
