Announcing CityDesk Service Pack 1

Service Pack 1 is here!

If you have the starter edition, a free upgrade is available from our download site:

http://www.fogcreek.com/CityDesk/fog0000000033.html

If you purchased the home or professional edition, you should already have received an email with upgrade instructions. If not, please email us at citydesk@fogcreek.com.

What's new in SP1? Here are some highlights:

* Articles keep their name when published
* Publishing is 20-30% faster
* New CityScript features: if blocks, date ranges, nested CityScript, and absolute links
* Over 100 bug fixes (don't ask what, it's too embarrassing).

For a complete list, see:

Is the Friday release the very same version as the Monday test release?

Whoop!  Finally I can change my template and not have to manually hack up my index.html file!  The publish also seems to be faster than before.

looks great so far!

The Monday release was 1.0.25; today's release is 1.0.27. We fixed two or three small bugs that the minibeta uncovered between then.

As always, the Help // Check for Updates menu item is the best way to keep straight what you've got :)

Thanks to all the beta testers who helped us out by trying SP1 this week.

I downloaded the upgrade, and I'm looking forward to using it. Personal site work only, but I can't get to it until next week (Sniffle, whimper. Having a life precludes devoting all hours of the day and night to computers.)
