How to link SWF to CD article ?

Any ideas on how to create a link on an SWF animation linking to a CityDesk article ? A href with the magic name around the embedded SWF object does not link to the article although the cursor turns to "link"-mode.

An OnPress action within the SWF (thats where it probably is supposed to be) is not really workable as we only know the magic name but not the target HTML file name the article is going to get in advance. Of course, we can determine the filename after previewing but using that with OnPress -> Goto URL in the SWF does not do the trick either = no link.

Any ideas ? Thanks.

Apparently Flash / SWF does not allow for site-relative links so we have to work with absolute links...not very nice all that. Any more clever ways of linking from an SWF to a CD article ?

You can always use the full URL as published...

Try using a HTML file as a pointer (or shortcut).

Add the following tag in a plain HTML file:
<meta HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" CONTENT="0; URL=./xxx.htm">

where xxx.htm is the file you want displayed. The 'pointer' HTML file should forward the request to the file you want.

Or not.
