The've made my site secure but there's trouble

I've done a site that will require a login. I FTP'ed the site up there, then server folks "did something" to allow my client to login to it and see it. He says:

"Since then, every time a link is selected, an extremely annoying Security Information Box comes up saying this site contains secure & non-secure items, and forces you to make a selection on whether to display the non-secure items. The IT guy advised, that you could ensure the box doesn’t appear (something to do with URL)???"

Help!

I think this means that some of the objects on your page are not located inside the https folder(s).

e.g. the actual html pages contain a couple of logo image files, but they're externally linked from another part of the site rather than in the same folder as the html.

I've never tried it myself, but when I've seen the warning on sites I'm visiting that's what I've always thought it meant.

Do you have a stylesheet include or an img src= that points to a http:// url and not just using a relative url?  That would be the culprit.

I don't recognize the new poster...  but I appreciate his input.

What I do have is one flash thing (it's the site's footer) that comes from the non-secured company site.

I'll copy that into my site to see if that's the problem.

Thanks so much.
