CD for Newsletters?

The CD Manual says something about using CityDesk for newsletters. Has anyone with that? How do you do it? Examples? How do you send it, as an attachment or insert file in Outlook? Etcetera. Thanks.

I have a newsletter folder.  In that folder are articles (editor's desk, ask us, etc.) that regularly appear in the newsletter.

The newsletter is a plain text asc file with links.  I use CityScript to pull the bodys of the articles and to add teasers with links to the latest articles in my site.

Thanks, David. I understand that you just make an Outlook (or other mail app)  message with links that lead to a news overview part of your site from which visitors can pull the full text of the news item? Or do the teasers appear in the newsletter itself?

Here's what the text file looks like.  I publish it, then copy and paste into Outlook, GroupMail, Yahoo! or whatever.--- David ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Note that the http:// URLS are just text not <a ...> links.  The e-mail client usually turns them into links, just as this online forum did.

BTW:  This code is old and musty and will probably require some troubleshooting.

David,

Copy and paste into the mail client, why didn't I think of that? Thanks for the explanation!
