Log Statistics mapping to CityDesk Articles

Is there any demand/requirement for an application to grab logfiles and map them to CityDesk articles, allow reporting on audience, language, etc, etc?

Or is Fog Creek planning one?

If there is a requirement I'll resurrect something similar I did for a client some many moons ago.

You might well be able to pull the information you want out of the generated citydesk.xml...

All the XML file has is the CRC for each individual file so as, I guess, to make it straightforward to work out what needs to be uploaded at publishing.

Aah, damn. If it had the slugs (newspaper journo term for the article name as opposed to the headline) in there as well as the magic name, you could cross-reference...

You can easily generate a table mapping published name to file name. Make an HTML file containing this:

{$foreach x in (all)$}

{$x.link$} {$x.filename$}

{$next$}

Or make it XML if you like.

It wasn't so much where the article name/published file name could be retrieved from I was interested in so much as whether anyone else would be interested in a report utility that managed it for them.
