index-2?

Hi,

I am having a problem with index.html files being renamed to index-2.html.

I've searched in the archives and not found a satisfactory solution...

How do I get CityDesk to rename the file back to index.html?

If I go into the .cty file with MS Access and replace the instances of index-2 with index, will this achieve the goal or renaming the files when they are published?

Thanks.

I'm not in front of my CityDesk computer, but off the top of my head I recall the "-2" suffix being something CityDesk adds when there is a name collision.  Do you have something else called "index" in your CD file or your web server?  Getting rid of that may fix the problem.
