reusing xml templates

I just want to make sure that Citydesk will handle what I want it to do. I have several xml files that holds records...
ex)
<records>
  <record1>My Record 1</record1>
  <record2>My Record 2</record2>
  <record3>My Record 3</record3>
</records>

I want to be able to use those in any page, in such a way that I can access one individual record to display...  for example only record2 and none of the others. I also need any change to a record to reflect in all pages that access that particuar record. Can this be done using this tool?

Thanks,
Greg

That will work fine.

Note that the City Desk approach would be to define your records in the data base, and then use a template to create your XML version. Doing it this way lets you create pages based on complex database queries.
