Setting root directory

Is there a way to set the root directory? By default, it keeps putting it in 'Local Settings/Temp' directory, and I'd like it to show up in the 'inetpub/wwwroot' dir.

Thanks,
Greg

You mean when using preview?

Simplest thing is to set up a new location in CD. If you only have 1 location (in addition to the required "Preview") then hitting [Publish] as opposed to [Preview] will put all the files into the defined location (with just 1 click).

If there are more than 1 user defined locations then it'll be 3 clicks.

You could always set up a virtual directory on your webserver to point to your local settings/temp directory.

If you want to change where [Preview] publishes files to:
Use Access to open the Cty file. Open the table

tblPublishLocation

and enter the path to use in the field sOpaqueString.
In the field ixProvider enter a 1 (this enables you to edit preview location in CityDesk), and the next 3 fields put a 0 (last two fields can be left blank).

BUT IF YOU DO THIS ...
when you close CityDesk, the files/folders published are not destroyed. Not on my computer at any rate
