Using the Publish -> After Copy feature for backup

Is it possible to use the Publish -> After Copy feature to back up the .cty file to an FTP location?

I am wondering if one can do that since CD still has the file open at that point?

And: is there a (dos) command for copying this file to the same FTP location that the site gets published to? Something like XCOPY myCD.cty www.mySite.nl/backup ?

Thanks!

A DOS command ...

Not that I'm aware of by you can write an FTP script and call that from DOS prompt/run window etc.

The script looks like

open ftp_or_www.yourwebsite.com
username
password
bin
prompt
lcd c:/location/on/harddrive
cd public_html/this_is_your_website
put citydeskfile.cty
close
bye

The DOS command is simply ftp -s:name_of_script
That's on Windows 2000. I know that on WINNT it is ftp -N (I think) - i.e. the parameter might differ between versions.

On another O/S (I might even be thinking of AS400 or unix here) the username is on the same line as the open command.
