Colors in templates

When I open a CSS in HTML view I see statements like "color : #003399" I know that this relates to the colors of background and text etc. but how do I figure out what the actual color is?

You can use

http://www.colorschemer.com/online.html

to determine color codes online, very handy. If you like to avoid getting into HTML / CSS code to adapt templates, take a look at CityDesk Wizards / Templates at:

There's a very good chart and info about colour names too on the W3C site:

http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Guide/Style

(about 4/5ths down the page)
