Dynamic Articles -- a solution

Dynamically created articles. Ahhhh...

A solution, perhaps, is to create a function or macro in Access that Exports a record to an html file within a SELECT statement.

There is a File | Export item on the menu that creates a table in an html file from a table in the mdb file.

Then, I suppose, it's a matter of importing these files into CityDesk, and then publishing as usual. The fun part is deleting these imported files after the publish is finished.

What do you think? Anyone out there adept with Access to whip up the SELECT stmt. Obviously, I'm not an Access whiz...

Maybe the free "HTML DBScript tool" can help.

While it does not answer your question to dynamically create new articles, it does allow you to use use dynamic data from an Access database.

The wonderful HTML DbScript util can't help.

It can't create an individual html page (or article) PER RECORD.
