100% cpu usage

When I switch from Normal View to HTML view, CityDesk freezes and uses 100% of my CPU power. It then takes a long time before I start working again.

Does anyone know this problem and knows how to fix this?

What Operating System are you using - Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP ?

And if it’s Windows 2000 then the following link might be of help.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/recommended/q278522/default.asp

If on the other hand its one of the other OS's then simply go to the Microsoft site and run a query that includes your version of windows.

The more complicated the HTML is "complicated" is, the longer it takes to switch views. CityDesk cleans the HTML during the switch. The cleaning is a source of pain to a number of users because it can change the HTML and as you've found out it can take a lot of time. There is a lot of unhappy discussion about it in the forum.

Folks manage this problem by never opening their "complex" templates (or articles) in normal view or by using an external editor.

Please pardon me for my over "complicated" response above. I wish CityDesk could clean my brain sometimes.
