Linking to other file types

I love CD but one frustration I have is not being able to do automatic links to anything other than a CD article.  Is there any way to have CD create automatic links to all files in a folder, whether they are articles, .doc files, pdf's, etc?

I have a lot of Word .doc files that I want to post but it's too time consuming to manually link to each of them (I have dozens of them), so I was looking for a way to do links with a foreach script, just like using articles.  That way I can import the files into a folder and let CD do its magic and create links for me.  All I need is a menu page describing what the links are for.

If this isn't possible I would highly suggest it be added in future additions of CD.

This would also be high up my wishlist of features for a future version of CD.

You could try ART HTML Listing at http://www.zzee.com/htmlist/ - it spiders a directory and returns a customisable HTML page. It has a command-line option, which would allow CityDesk post-processing. This is not a recommendation; the trial version has displayed some peculiar behaviours.
