Calendars
I'm looking for a calendar app I can embed in my site (to list upcoming events for a nonprofit org). I've played with some php based solutions I like, but I'd like to see if anyone had a favorite they wanted to recommend. I'm open to any sort of implementation (perl, javascript, php, etc)

Take a look at the calendar at http://www.johnsadventures.com/ then check out his backend section. You can download the program that creates the calendar.
Its not "automatic" in its creation, you have to add the links yourself and update it each time a new link is added. But it does work well and looks good, and quite easy to implement in CityDesk.
I also use it on my page at http://www.pryorcreeksertoma.org/ and it works for me.
hope that helps...
